Somebody must climb the palm tree; pick the bacaba, and carry it home. Water is then heated. When the water is warm, the bacaba berries are added in order to soften them. When they are soft, they are crushed with a bottle. Clean water is then added and the juice is sieved. We drink bacaba with mandioc flour and sugar or salt.
