Here there are two seasons, winter and summer. In the winter there is a lot of rain, it can be cold, and the river rises and floods the igapos. It is more difficult to catch fish. In winter people work breaking Brazil nuts. Many trees flower and fruit.
In summer there is very little rain and it is hot. When the river drops there are many beaches; it is sunny and windy. When the water is low we catch a lot of fish. In summer plantations are prepared by cutting and burning. We like summer because we can play on the beach, play football and swim.
